Roberto C. Madruga was born and raised in Northern Virginia. Throughout his life, he has been fixated with modern art, mythology, spicy food and technology. After a bout of meningitis that almost killed him in 2009 and then undergoing two brain surgeries in 2010, he moved to Brooklyn with his wife and two kittens to pursue a career in art. He has photographed for the Smithsonian, Northern Virginia Magazine and websites.
